... LIFE PENDING

I figured I ought to update this blog. Actually, I always do intend to. However, working 4 jobs tends to really interfere with personal projects, like blogging and VOYEUR. At least I had time to change my hair.

Moving to BK has really been a huge change for me, and I'm really happy with my decision. I miss breakfast tacos, walking to Thunderbird and renting movies at Vulcan Video a lot, but feeling out what this city has to offer has been a blast -- if only I had more time/money to adventure around the city.

Keep updated with the blog and Voyeur for updates VERY SOON. I have disposable cameras and interviews coming in from designers Mary Meyer (who I recently worked for doing social media and PR) and John Renaud (who recently made a move to Berlin) and ones pending from other awesome folks.

If you ever have any suggestions for Voyeur features or want to submit yourself, please contact me HERE. Or if you just want to chat or collaborate on something in the near future, I'd love to hear it.

Leaving you with this Blood Orange video that I am still obsessed with:

24: WISH LIST

Another birthday is coming up this week. Time to put together another "wish list". In quote, because I never actually ask for these things on gift-giving occasions, they are more of a compilation of things that I want or might someday want to purchase for myself given the funds are available.

This Bliss Lau Leather Relief Dress is kind of my latest obsession. Of course it costs $3199 on Bona Drag.

Y.R.U. Bloq Lace-Up Flatform Boots, which are $90 on UO, which is out of my budget these days.

Da Bruxa "Itch Witch": This stuff is amazing and it's just $12. I highly recommend it now after using some of Mary Meyer's. It literally makes mosquito bites (and other bites) not itch and pretty quickly go away. Necessary considering I am constantly getting bit.

Eagles Shadow Bikini - $110. A little steep for swimwear for me, especially since I don't know if the top will fit. But I've been wanting this since I spotted it a long time ago.

Dolcetta by Dolce Vita Harness Heel Boot $98 - these have been on my wishlist for myself for probably 2 years now.

I also have been wanting this basic AA crop top, but feel too broke to even buy this right now at $30.

A really good powder + teach me how to do make up, because I don't know how.

+ a bunch of cute pillows to complete my room. Oh and a couch. And a breakfast nook. And some rugs. And a salary. And to have all my records from back home shipped to me. Okay, that's it. Is that too much to ask for, universe?

AIB IS BRN VMT.

Welcome to BRN VMT, which is "brain vomit" in case you couldn't tell. I called it this, because I have this issue with verbal regurgitation -- if you know me you know this to be true. So, while I definitely have a word vomit issue in real life, surely an online journal of mine would be my brain vomit. I'll be using this the same way I used Austin is Burning, but now I feel less constrained by geographical locale.

Thank you for reading, and please come back for more interviews, music, videos, life stuff, photos, etc.

xo,
Tiffany

Funsaver Series pt. 10: Last days of Austin

Realistically, it might have been a month or so, maybe only a few key days of the time period. Either way, it's pretty representative of what it was like. I miss Austin all the time, it really was a great place to call home. Here, too. It feels strange to miss one place and feel excited about another at the same time, but no more conflicting than anything else in life.

DID YOU KNOW I'M MOVING?

Well, I am. I'm moving to NY in a few days, which might just be the end of this blog, or at least the way it is now. Please check back soon for when I make this into an iCarly fan blog or something. I love you all.

I'M A LOMOAMIGA!

So a few months ago, Lomography gave me a La Sardina 35mm camera, and I switched out my disposables for my life documentation purposes. This is what came of the project -- an interview and a bunch of awesome photos.

Read the interview, but for now here is a handful of my favorite lomo photos.

Again, check out the interview here!

BLEACH ONLINE SKY ROCKET

The latest issue of Bleach Online is now live! "Sky Rocket" features some seriously amazing photo editorials and interviews (including a few by me and one featuring me!). I had the pleasure of interviewing talented folks Matthew Frost, Annie Gunn and Peter Simonite, Natasha Pincus and Hayley Mary of The Jezabels.

Bleach was also kind enough to feature my new project VOYEUR and me in the issue, with some amazing images taken by Shayne Stroud. CHECK OUT THE REST OF THE ISSUE NOW!

+++ And go to the issue launch party at Cheer Up Charlie's tonight for FREE, featuring live music by Orthy and Gal Pals and Feathers DJ sets. RSVP HERE.

SOME SITES

ONE
Introducing my portfolio page. I had been sitting on tiffanydiane.com for about half a year, and it's finally up. Check it out if you want to see things that I do, including journalistic work, styling work, videos and a photo diary.

TWO
Images from Seattle-based Katie Schultz's VOYEUR submission. Also, in case you haven't noticed, there have been a few small changes made to the site. I plan on beginning the "Spaces" project soon and blogging on the site regularly. Check out Katie's 7 Days and my short interview with her.

BRAG: RACHEL ROY FRONT PAGE

During SXSW, I was asked to take part in a RACHEL Rachel Roy Austin campaign, including street style images and a mini-editorial.
Last night, I found my face on the front page of rachelroy.com

Here I am with Whitney, Shari, Christina, Unique and Jamilah.

They also released this email newsletter where they featured us ladies and what we do.

So happy I woke up at 6:30 AM on that Friday of SX for this.
