A first look at Alex Lee of XXBC and wirdyblog.com's 7 Days submission for VOYEUR. I am excited to finally get this project back up and rolling. I know I make a lot of empty promises to the internet, but I am really intent on revitalizing my personal projects (like this one).
Please keep an eye out for the many other contributors I have lined up including Alex Gehring of Ringo Deathstarr, designer Mary Meyer and my sister, who just got back from Berlin on a StyleSight mission.
I figured I ought to update this blog. Actually, I always do intend to. However, working 4 jobs tends to really interfere with personal projects, like blogging and VOYEUR. At least I had time to change my hair.
Moving to BK has really been a huge change for me, and I'm really happy with my decision. I miss breakfast tacos, walking to Thunderbird and renting movies at Vulcan Video a lot, but feeling out what this city has to offer has been a blast -- if only I had more time/money to adventure around the city.
Keep updated with the blog and Voyeur for updates VERY SOON. I have disposable cameras and interviews coming in from designers Mary Meyer (who I recently worked for doing social media and PR) andJohn Renaud(who recently made a move to Berlin) and ones pending from other awesome folks.
If you ever have any suggestions for Voyeur features or want to submit yourself, please contact me HERE. Or if you just want to chat or collaborate on something in the near future, I'd love to hear it.
Leaving you with this Blood Orange video that I am still obsessed with:
I haven't posted about my project Voyeurin a minute. I've recently updated it, now that I am finished with moving, getting settled and have time to return to projects and start new ones. Here are some favorite 7 Days images from our most recent three contributors: Christa Palazzolo of Boy Friend, artist Adam Milner from Denver, and photographer Katy Shayne of Austin. Please check out the rest of the images on the website.
+++ And go to the issue launch party at Cheer Up Charlie's tonight for FREE, featuring live music by Orthy and Gal Pals and Feathers DJ sets. RSVP HERE.
So, in trying to keep up the Voyeur momentum, here we have Davida Loca of Part Time (LA)'s submission to the 7 Days project. David took the project as an excuse to take party pics with his disposable.
Another great addition to the page is the BLOG, which will be regularly updated with news on Voyeur-featured artists and other things on our radar. Check it out and feel free to subscribe via Google Reader or bloglovin'.
Introducing my portfolio page. I had been sitting ontiffanydiane.com for about half a year, and it's finally up. Check it out if you want to see things that I do, including journalistic work, styling work, videos and a photo diary.
TWO
Images from Seattle-based Katie Schultz's VOYEUR submission. Also, in case you haven't noticed, there have been a few small changes made to the site. I plan on beginning the "Spaces" project soon and blogging on the site regularly. Check out Katie's 7 Days and my short interview with her.
Presenting Ariel Bender's submission to Voyeur - here are just a couple of snaps. Check out the rest of them and read the interview on the site.
On top of being one of the more interesting characters I've come across in life (I met him at a Polysics concert in Dallas when I was 17), Ari is also in this rad local Dallas band Missile. Check the music out on Facebook. Their music videos are so well-produced. Here's one of them:
This is a project I've been working on as of late.
Thus far, Voyeur is composed of the 7 Days project, which showcases an insight to people's lives through the viewfinder of their disposable cameras.
Please give it a look and let me know what you think, so far. Thanks so much to Luke Carrell, my designer Kristine Fernandez, and everybody who has told me they like the site so far.
