Carrie Bradshaw

Well, I didn't even mean to and bought shoes that have adorned one of my fashion idol's feet. I got these babies very recently:

and then saw some on Ebay for like $150, but mine were way cheap.
The shoe was featured in the Sex and the City film multiple times, the most memorable would probably be in her huge flower dress at the opening. (Apparently they are $770 Dior!) They even have "cheaper" ones at Baker's for $70. Mine were $27)

I have a different color of course, but I guess you can't just emulate your icons 100%. I think it is a very nice alternative to the typical gladiator heel, a little bit more stylized and dressy.

Also check out my e-bay auction:

It didn't fit and now I am selling it. 24 HRS LEFT!

because we all wish we could

I adore this new commercial for Paco Rabanne. Does it even matter what it smells like?

I wish I could snap people nude.
Also, everybody should dress that classy.

DFW/ATX WEEKEND

THURSDAY in DFW

THURSDAY in ATX

SATURDAY in ATX

If you're an Austinite or a Dallasite you should go to at least one of these. I haven't heard much of Nacotheque but they seem like they'd definitely be a lot of fun to watch live. I'm probably going to that, which should be fun but it's unfortunate that I'm going to have to miss out on Designer Drugs.

ATL UPDATES & Future changes

MJQ

MJQ was surprisingly fun, but I think it was more the configuration of the club rather than the music. Andy Rourke of the Smiths was DJing and played a lot of hits, but not necessarily danceable stuff.

A/S/L has been canceled til further notice, not that anybody quite cares.

Eastern Bloc

This was just last night - supposedly Atlanta's "most ambitious nightlife project to date."
This was the configuration of the three club crawl:

The Graveyard Tavern - Electro, Bmore, House, Dubstep, New Wave

Cenci - 2 Floors of Hip-Hop, Disco, Funk, and Soul

The Glenwood - Rock, Indie, Brit-Pop, Mod, and Soul + Outdoor Patio

I only hung around the Graveyard, because I didn't see any point in going to the other two and listening to funk or brit-pop. It was a really good time, the DJing (Preston Craig) was not genius but acceptable - more electro and new wave than house at all.

This is what is on for tonight:

&

THEM (Gravytrain!!!) at The Drunken Unicorn! Pimp.

ALSO- I have been thinking of changing up this dull site. Right now it's just me blogging about shit no one cares about or they might but no one knows about or can relate because it's just the stuff I do. I'm going to bring in some new perspective and hopefully spice the blog up real soon. Look for changes within the next month. I'm talkin' - my return to Austin and return to GOOD blogging.

FUCKYESSS & Afterlife

I went to Fuck Yesss! on thursday night here in ATL and it was pretty awesome. The DJs weren't bad but it was a shame Le Castle Vania (who normally puts the monthly parties on) wasn't there that night. Oh well, on with it.

Friday night - &rew, Guillermo and I went to a house party, then to Mary's - ATL's finest gay bar, and then to get fries at Landmark and back home to crash. A little less eventful but still awesome.

Now on for tonight. We are going to Afterlife at the Masquerade. Should be fun.
